Yay Thumbs! (?)

What is it with the thumbs?  Should FIS be spending less time on ski length and more time on thumb protection?  Blowing out a knee can end a career, but a thumb injury can mean arthritis for life.

Carter Robertson, a classic work-glove-wearer turned hand-destroyer from Maine, mailed in these pictures of his recently smashed thumb, courtesy of a 30mm SPM.  It adds up to about 3 weeks off snow.  Pick your damn hands up!

  3. you're in the blogging business, not me. i'm merely a voluntary reader. As for Kildow - please don't get on that train with all the other media lemmings...kill us first. She's a one dimensional wonder and a bore in all other respects.
