Last Minute Gift Idea

If you're like us, you've already completely dropped the ball on Christmas. Sorry mom, looks like you'll be getting another baking pan. Or rice cooker. Novelty martini glass? Meh. The Home section at Fred Meyer is so uninspiring.

Well good news, derelicts. Although it's still probably too late for Christmas, you can now purchase a unique gift for a loved one in the form of a fresh jug of Slopeside Syrup. Now, at 11 PM, in your underpants, thanks to their new online store. It probably still won't be there by Christmas, but you can blame Jimmy Cochran. Just tell your mom, "Yeah, gee, I'm not sure what happened. They said it would be here by now." It will show up a few days later, and all you have to do is make the pancakes/waffles/cocktails to go with it and you'll be a hero. Follow the names Kelley and Cochran-Siegle around the last Nor-Am series: Obviously, this stuff works.

Order here, then finalize plans to ski for fun tomorrow. Do you have the ability to just take runs without working on anything? Try it and see. Skiing is pretty freakin' fun. Happy holidays everyone.

  1. Vermont Maple Syrup is always a great gift - hat's off to all the Cochran clan for combining a deep heritage of ski racing with sugaring. We'll continue to get ours in mason jars from the neighbor.

  2. Yeah, but can you train slalom on a rope tow and then ski to where you are going to pick yours in a mason jar from your neighbor?

Sounds like you can do better...

  3. Roger, not quite - but the other stuff we put in mason jars around here makes up for it. Call it "really condensed apple cider". You could add it to your inventory, but then the ATF would be on ya like white on rice.
