Run of the Day: On Board On The Saslong

Things I didn't know about forerunning World Cup Downhills:

1.  In the start, you stand on the tails of the guy in front of you like it's Nastar.
2.  You use Gipron poles, also like Nastar.
3.  You're up to speed very quickly, unlike in Nastar.
4.  You pick your ski up in the finish line like you're actually racing.
5.  You dial in the Camels like Whoa at 3:19.  Damn, that's a big jump.

Andrea Ravelli, ladies and gentlemen.  Don't act like you're not impressed.

Also, speaking of forerunning, Pat Duran is an expert.
