Petition to FIS So They Know How You Feel

Ryan Shorter, Wenatchee's finest, started a petition late last summer in an effort to give people an avenue to express, as a group, their feelings on the new ski length rules being implemented by FIS.  That petition has now reached a little over 1,000 signatures, and it's time for Hard Snow readers to put it over the top.

Like the Occupy movement, the petition itself lacks concrete demands and is an expression of "I think these rules are bullshit," more than anything else.  Because it doesn't ask for a concrete change or outright striking of the new rules, it's hard to say what the petition will accomplish, but it's probably still worth taking a second to go over there and sign it.  If nothing else, it could be a show of force to FIS that we, the proletariat, aren't that psyched.

Take a minute to go over and sign.  Warner did, Brennan Rubie did, and a thousand other people did too.  If you pay for a FIS license, or know someone who does, now is the time.
